First up, it’s the Pasolini-directed, Orson Welles-starring indictment of the dangerous blend of capitalism & religion set against the backdrop of a hectic behind schedule film shoot in Italy! With a meta-narrative incorporating the contradictions of Italian society, this film was so dangerous it got the director put behind bars!

Next up, it’s Cecil B. Demille’s bizarro retelling of Roman history in this epic pre-code tale that is massive equal parts scope, ambition, & strangeness! With Nero’s Rome persecuting Christians for the roles in the fire in a film that drew great controversy upon release!

Finally, we end with the perfect film after the kid’s go to bed, an unrated cut of the Hustler-produced infamous Tinto-brass crafted biopic of everyone’s favorite Le Infant Terrible ruler; Caligula! Played with gusto by A Clockwork Orange’s own Malcolm Mcdowell.
