Continuing our investigation into the corporate media & Hollywood’s role in as a mouthpiece for the darkest forces in the world, our monthly triple-threat virtual screening present the other side of the coin; Instead of focusing on the opportunistic cowards given power & wealth for lying for the empire, we focus on the brave heroes sacrificing their lives to either expose the empire’s atrocities, or in another case; try to cash in on it, while making a questionable &  risky attempt to avert nuclear war between two rivals at the height of the Cold War.

Tonight we present 2 hard-hitting docs using opposing storytelling techniques to pull the curtain back on the West’s shadow warfare waged both at home & abroad under the guise of “national security”. The first presents a fly-on-the-wall approach, when an NSA employee decides to he can’t handle the sins of his government any longer  & leaks the information to the public through Wikileaks. This edge-of-your-seat pressure cooker takes audiences on the journey both to leak the documents & escape the country with his life. The other doc we’re presenting is a work by one of the last true journalist; the late John Pilger. We close out the triple-threat with a classic piece of 80’s paranoid American cinema based on a best-selling book. This suspense thriller follows an entry-level apolitical CIA employee that begins selling secrets to the Russians when he realizes the United States is violating international law. Based on a true story & starring Sean Penn before he lost his mind.
