Description
Few bands could still be standing after a major drug bust, the tragic sudden death of your virtuoso lead guitarist (& some say the spirit of the band), & decades of infighting, but 60’s psych rock delta blues jam band seen as the inverse of the Grateful Dead, managed to reunite in the 90s for their 9th studio album Seven Turns, which managed to put to reconcile the original line-up (sans Duane) & deliver another star-studded performance track-to-track. The tone of the album certainly reflects the changing world & the 60’s Allman Bros sound is gone, but hearing one of America’s best modern blues bands back together & doing what they do best was a breath of fresh air compared to their last 2 decades of scatter-shot releases (& even landed a few catchy hits). Available here is this quintessential album on cassette tape in mint condition like it came off the shelf yesterday!
